When it comes to computer virus, I am definitely sure that a lot of us knows pretty well that we need to protect your computer by installing some antivirus software. The problem comes when people would think that having two or more antivirus application can give you more security. This is definitely wrong since it will just make your computer slow down. The idea is good, but installing two AV will have some conflicts. This can cause your computer some errors that you usually see on computer with only one AV.
There are some who did not know that they already have two antivirus applications in their computer. One of the experience that is had is he observed that his antivirus software is not working good for him anymore so he tried another antivirus program without installing the other AV program.
As far as I could remember there is an AV program that will not allow you to install it on your computer if it can detect another AV program on your computer. If I could remember it right it is Norton. The antivirus that is mostly see that are being installed together with other antivirus are AVAST, AVIRA, AVG and MC AFEE. The best thing that you can do when you experience some problem in your computer because of the two AV programs that you have installed, try to uninstall one or both and try other AV program that would work best for you. Uninstalling programs can easily be done in the control panel, but some would experience some problem half way through the uninstall process. You cannot uninstall the AV anymore.
