Just last week, my friend came to me saying that his computer has some problems and he wants to have it formatted. I ask him why and he said that all the programs were not working anymore. The first thing that came into my mind is a virus might have done this. I looked at his computer that night and i discovered that when programs in his computer is run, it will ope then "open with window". I immediately browse the internet and looked at how to solve this problem and here is how i did it.
1. type www.dougknox.com on your address bar
2. Looking at the left hand column, simply click WinXP fixes
3. A list will be provided , then click File Association fixes
4. On the next list that will appear, click EXE file Association fix.
5. then your done, restart your computer for the changes to take effect.
After doing the steps i have mentioned above and restarting my computer, everything was fixed. If you are having some problems like this, try the steps above, definitely it will work, if not, leave a comment below and describe the problem that you encounter, ill try to help as much as i can.
